FOXSPORTS.com.au | AFLFOXSPORTS.com.au | Breaking NewsClub HistoryAlbert Park Football Club is an Australian Rules club affiliated with the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA), a competition that covers all of greater metropolitan Melbourne. The VAFA has over 70 senior clubs, and around 3,500 registered players. Our club has its origins going back to the 1920's and has progressed from affiliation with the ANZ Bank Staff Social Club to it's current suburban identity in the inner-suburban Albert Park area of Melbourne.
The Club has always been based at Albert Park the former Clubrooms and playing area were moved when the Grand Prix site was formed. The Club is now situated at the Beaurepaire Pavilion on Oval 20. ( Melway 2K/G10) The social activity of the Club is centred at this venue which boasts a comprehensive Bar and comfortable fittings. The Club encourages family and partner participation with a wide range of events ranging through Club Balls ,Christmas in July functions to Presentation Night. As the adoption of our suburban identity is only three years old we are still working hard to position ourselves in the local community, to attract players, sponsors and members. Making a grand final in our first season as Albert Park Football Club, followed by Reserves Premiership in 2002, the first flag in 28 years, the associated publicity we attracted from community newspapers was a huge fillip in this process. We have a large base of playing and social members, an active past player group and wide network of sponsors. All up our immediate supporter reach is well in excess of 100 people, with an extended audience through our continued affiliation with the ANZ Banking Group in Victoria. Our match reports are published regularly in local community newspapers and we are active in the promotion of our club in the inner bayside area. Communication is further augmented by the Club Newsletter, which is circulated by email and regular mail to around 150 subscribers weekly during the season and regularly throughout the rest of the year.
Falcons Colours:
![]() The Albert Park Falcons Club Song Cheer, cheer the Red and the Blue
We'll keep on fighting all the game through
Soaring to Success we Fly
Shake down the thunder from the sky
Whether the odds are great or be small
The Falcons from the Park will win overall
While our loyal sons are marching
Onwards to victory
Note: Words to the club song were amended as a result of a special "Behaviours and Trademark" open forum discussion held on the 16th of June 2008. As an outcome of this discussion the motto "Soaring to Success" was adopted as defining the character and attitude required of all behaviours and trademarks that shape the Albert Park "Falcons" Football Club.
