Play Aussie Rules under a young, energetic and success driven club. The Senior Side played finals in 2008 but unfortunately ended the Season Third with a loss in the Preliminary Final. In 2009 we were runners up after finishing the season on top of the ladder, while disappointing at the time, the loss has created a burning desire amongst the players and club to take on the challenge of 2010 and go all the way - Join us. With so many players already committed to returning in 2010 we expect a stronger start and look forward to the continued pressure on Senior positions.The Senior and Reserve Teams support each other on and off the field and the club prides itself on managing to maintain an even social circle throughout all levels of participation. The club has embraced the recently established slogan "Soaring to Success" and an unofficial "No Dick Heads" policy.
If you have an ambitious and positive outlook on life and can thrive in a club culture that has little tolerance for politics or "Wankers". Then you will enjoy being a part of the Albert Park Falcons FC. While we are focussed on a commitment to success and take our game day performances very seriously, there are always social opportunities to share a good laugh amongst team mates and supporters. The Home Ground Facilities are of good quality and have benefited from the redevelopment associated with the hosting of the F1 Grand Prix.
Players are from a uniquely diversified mixture of backgrounds from Country Footballers to Albert Park locals and many not so local but whom work close by in the City. The players, members and committee come from a broad spectrum of employment backgrounds. From Business Owners to University Students from Construction to Journalism the opportunity for networking and employment contacts are excellent. Social events are an important component of the clubs agenda and are often attended by Sport associated Media and Celebrity. They are gala events that girlfriends and wives take much enjoyment from and further establishes our club as one the friendliest and well organized in the competition. Of course all the family are made welcome a club kiosk operates at our home games nothing like a hot cuppa for Mum - hot pie for Dad, there are play areas for the kiddies and clean toilet facilities. Having your footy club located amongst some of the best bars and clubs in Melbourne ensures there is always a venue our players are welcomed when celebrations take you into evening. The club currently has a strong member base of ex country footballers with ties to Ballarat, Geelong and the Gippsland Districts, guys who have located to Melbourne for work and study. There is also a strong contingent of players who have played suburban football at higher levels and have warmed to the club because of its convenient and picturesque location amongst the City's finest parklands and Lake .
Our 2010 preparations are well underway with November and December.
